Laura abandoned the excitement and high drama of life as a chartered accountant in 2001 when she joined Beaufield for a complete career change. She became head nurse in 2003, having qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and is currently the practice manager.
She has three cats; brothers Harry and Jelly, that she bottle fed when they were presented to the clinic having been abandoned at one week of age and Ray a one eyed, partially sighted cat also presented as a stray to the clinic. She also has two dogs, a Jack Russell cross called Rasher who was found loitering outside the bookies in Celbridge, and Bernard, a Labrador cross Yorkshire Terrier who caught her eye as an adorable puppy in the Beaufield waiting room.
Originally from Glasnevin and now living in Clonsilla, Laura is a proud Dublin GAA supporter, enjoys food, walking her dogs, campervan holidaying, music and has a keen interest in social justice activism.
