Beaufield Veterinary Centre has been providing veterinary services to the animals of north Kildare and west Dublin since January 1996. It has since expanded to become an extremely busy Small Animal Hospital and has received recognition from the Veterinary Council of Ireland as a registered Small Animal Hospital.
During the last number of years it has been a registered centre for veterinary nurses training with both The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, London and University College, Dublin.
A major extension and renovation of the premises provided BVC with a state-of-the art hospital equipped with facilities to care for over 50 in-patients at any one time with dedicated Isolation units, Intensive Care units, Medical, Surgical and Anaesthetic Recovery units.
The centre is equipped with:
- Three surgical theatres including an orthopaedic suite
- Gaseous anaesthetic facilities with advanced monitoring
- X-Ray facilities
- Full dental facilities
- In-house laboratory with blood, fluid and cell equipment
- ECG facilities
- Fully computerised patient record systems
